About LCX

LCX Technology Consulting is the platform through which I provide executive technology leadership and advisory support to organizations navigating moments where technology decisions have become consequential.  I work with CEOs and executive teams when systems are starting to constrain the business, when complexity has quietly accumulated, or when leadership needs experienced, objective guidance to reset direction and regain control of the technology trajectory.

Executive Perspective

My perspective has been shaped by operating across consulting and industry, and inside organizations at very different stages of maturity.  I’ve worked within large enterprises, growth-stage companies, and early-stage startups, as well as in consulting environments advising multiple organizations simultaneously. This exposure has provided direct experience with how technology decisions behave under different constraints—capital structure, organizational maturity, regulatory pressure, and speed of change.  This breadth has given me a pattern-based view of what scales, what breaks, and what quietly accumulates risk across different operating models.

Technical and Business Foundation

I began my career with a rigorous technical foundation grounded in computer science and advanced software engineering, with formal training at Hope College and Grand Valley State University, focused on software engineering, distributed computing, and software architecture.

That grounding was reinforced through hands-on delivery work and continued to evolve as my responsibilities expanded. Over time, I’ve operated at every layer of technology execution—including engineering, product, architecture, and program leadership—experience that informs how I evaluate strategy through execution reality and system behavior over time.

This technical depth is complemented by advanced business training in strategy, finance, and operations through an MBA at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, shaping how I approach capital allocation, organizational design, and long-term leverage.

Global team builder

A significant part of my leadership experience has involved building and leading global technology organizations, often across multiple regions, cultures, and stages of maturity.

This work has reinforced the importance of organizational design, decision clarity, and trust—especially in distributed environments. It has also resulted, over time, in long-standing relationships with trusted delivery leaders across engineering, data, and program execution.

This global network exists to support execution when needed—not to define the engagement—allowing organizations to move from clarity to action without compromising governance, objectivity, or accountability.

Entrepreneur

In parallel with my executive roles, I have built and scaled businesses from the ground up. This entrepreneurial experience has shaped how I think about technology decisions in real operating environments—where capital is finite, trade-offs are immediate, and timing matters.

Operating as an entrepreneur reinforces a practical understanding of growth constraints, operating complexity, and execution risk. It also provides a grounded perspective on how technology choices affect revenue, margins, and organizational flexibility—not in theory, but in practice.

This lens consistently informs how I advise leadership teams, particularly in environments where speed and discipline must coexist.

Fractional CIO

I work with CEOs and executive teams at moments where technology decisions have become consequential—when systems are starting to constrain the business, when growth has outpaced structure, or when leadership needs experienced, objective guidance to reset direction.  My role is to bring clarity, judgment, and senior accountability to those moments.   I help ensure that technology decisions are aligned with business direction, sequenced appropriately, and governed in a way that creates sustained leverage rather than accumulated complexity.

How I engage

My role is advisory and leadership-focused. I work alongside CEOs and executive teams to provide clarity, judgment, and senior oversight at moments when technology decisions carry outsized impact.

When execution or staffing needs arise as a result of clarified strategy, I help organizations route that work to the right internal teams or trusted execution partners—while remaining accountable for alignment, sequencing, and outcomes at the executive level.
